Short News Update: 14.10.2009 10 years after we started, the Team is back, we are continuing development with a brand new engine. Our emails have been reactivated, so feel free to drop us a letter at the addresses in the contact section. 16.06.1999 - Our first team has been selected. The files needed for the test are being uploaded to the server, and the server application is being configured. All testers will receive the software by this weekend. 9.06.1999 - Tester list is being compiled. First Team is due this weekend. 9.06.1999 - We got a new domain !! Thanx to FreeServers our own www.BlackOaks.8m.com 8.06.1999 - Long Time no see !! Finally the "high-speed" beta testing (cable+) connections, has ended. Now testers that have applied from before will get the chance to participate ! If you sent in the application, and think that it didnt go thru, please email us with details. Check NEWS section for more info. 13.08.1998 - Almost there :) Alpha sign-up up page updated. Our server is near completition ! Hang in there testers ! We are as impatient as you.. 06.08.1998 - Alpha sign-up is still available.~~~~~~ [ I will start answering my emails now :) Didnt have much time lately, and now got 400 emails waiting. ] 05.08.1998 - We started the selection of the testers team. I will post the list of the selected people soon. Dont forget to check our site, maybe you made it ! 04.08.1998 - Free Traders public testing will start anytime next week, or the week after. We received an overwhelming number of alpha applications, and currently are looking trough them, however, the alpha application form is still online, and you can still apply for the testing. We also were mentioned at BetaZine Site who has reserved 15 alpha positions for our alpha testing, and at MPOGD. 05.08.1998 - Sorry for the lack of updates - we were testing our client&server for the past week. 18.07.1998 - Sword was a bit modified. Check Sword of Paranor page for info. Requirements section added. 14.07.1998 - The Sword of Paranor was modified. Look for change descriptions on Sword of Paranor page 13.07.1998 - The web-page was modified. Now Dink Modules section was added. 12.07.1998 - Sword of Paranor is now available for public download !!!! Go to Sword of Paranor page 11.07.1998 - BlackOaks Software took the second place in DMOD competition, loosing only by mere 0.03 points. It was a close call, but we are still proud of the results. Congratulations goes to Kevin Kazimir, the winner, as well to other competitors. Also we would like to thank Mike Snyder for sponsoring and hosting the contest, and RTSoft for also providing additional funding. Thank you.
Our MissionWe boldly go where no man has gone before. Eh, wait, no, we attempt to create a new multiplayer world on the Net with less than usual violence/theft and annoying PKs (player killers). The only violence can be expressed in insulting or attempting to destroy someone's business by buying him out. However, occasional duels are permitted. We also create Dink the Smallwood official add-on "Hidden Lands" and work on a few other projects. Please feel free to explore our site and request any additional information.
Company ProfileWe are a young, totally green, and have absolutely no experience whatsoever in running a software company. All to come, we are, after all, only 1 year old. We hope to bring our products to a bigger market, and keep the costs as low as possible, because we believe that the game should be made for players, and not to make some rich people, richer.
